Head wraps… wear it like you mean it!

Dreadlock Headwrap

Head wraps/scarves/turban, call it what you like, have many purposes, it protects your hair from the elements. It is super cute and can definitely set of a look or set the mood. It looks complicated to do but is actually really simple once you get the just of it.  There is also many ways to do a head wrap. Right now I’m feeling this one.

Harsh Chemicals VS Natural

I suggest using products that you understand most of the ingredients on the list. Mineral oil, petroleum base products is not your friend. They cover the hair shaft instead of penetrating it and not giving it the nutrients it needs. Coconut oil, Jojoba, castor oil, Shea butter, their molecules are  small enough to penetrate the shaft and feed your hair.

For curly hair, sodium laureth and sulfates does nothing for your hair other than giving the shampoo the lathering effect we have come to believe cleans our hair. Lets just stay away from anything that ends in “tate’ , it’s usually a chemical that will not be kind to your body and sneak up on you later along the line.
